The new PING i500 irons are now available at Cool Clubs. Here’s what you need to know from our club-fitting experts. The i500 iron design takes much of the same PING iron technology as the extremely popular G700 and packs it into a smaller, sleeker, more compact muscle-back appearance, providing a blade-like aesthetic with all the forgiveness you’ve come to expect from similar-style irons.
We recently tested the new Ping products and they performed very well. Compared to our top two selling irons they were very competitive. The TrackMan numbers were so close it came down to what looks, feels and sounds best to the player. The new i210, i500 and Glide Forged wedges should definitely be on your list to try!
The new PING i500 irons are now available at Cool Clubs for testing and fitting, and available for release on July 31, 2018.
The new line boasts metal-wood-like performance, generating significant ball-speed increases which could lead to upwards of 15-yard increases per club, and five times the face flexing which provides higher overall ball flight to stick your approach shots close. Take a look at the specs below, get fitted, and then go throw darts.
Every new product offers something unique in its upgraded technology. Materials, machining and production have all improved significantly over the last few years, as is evidenced in the PING i500.
The PING i500 comes in two loft specifications: Standard and Power. The Power version means the loft settings are between 1°-1.5° “strong” for extra distance and a lower trajectory.
After hitting this sleek, blade-style iron you'll be amazed at its incredible speed, distance, and towering trajectory, with stopping power that gives you a real competitive advantage. The forged C300 maraging-steel face, metal-wood-like construction and hinged cavity create the conditions for unprecedented speed, power and distance.
A forged, C300 maraging-steel face combines with a 17-4 stainless steel body for metal-wood-like performance, resulting in faster ball speeds and much longer, higher-trajectory shots with stopping power.
The muscle-back geometry helps to hinge the precision-milled, forged, C300 maraging steel face, which flexes, adding dynamic loft while increasing ball speed, trajectory and distance.
The clean, blade-style shape with minimal offset produces so much speed and distance that you'll be able to hit one less club into greens.
Precision Grooves, Face
The face and grooves are precision-milled to provide a flat surface for ensuring consistent ball speeds and reliable ballstriking.
Hydro Pearl Chrome 2.0 Finish
This premium finish helps ensure impact consistency and distance control from the rough and wet conditions while adding to the high-end appeal of the club.
