Do I Need A Line On My Putter

Do I need a line on my putter?

Master Fitter Nick has done some testing on what influence difference shapes of putters with lines and no lines does to him.

As you'll find from the images:

- Tended to aim right with no line on the ball.

- Tended to aim the putter straight with the line on the ball when using the line (although line on ball wasn't perfect)

- Odyssey's Triple-Track can 100% help with alignment, being a dead straight alignment as imaged.

- Tended to aim the putter straight with the line on the ball when using the line (although line on ball wasn't perfect)

Currently Nick games a 'Squareback' Style blade as he finds the rectangular shape helps with setting the putter square to target line. For this reason, it wasn't a surprise the Odyssey Ten with 2-ball and line was best for aim.

All putters at 34", Slant Neck and same Loft and Lie.
