PXG Gen 3 0311T Irons Custom Build

Through the Sydney Studio for a client we have a set of custom built PXG Gen 3 0311T irons 5-PW with Steelfiber i95 S Flex shafts SST Pured finished with Golf Pride MCC 60R Black/Black grips.

The client came in with the original PXG 0311P irons and we found that by going to a lighter and more stable golf shaft as well as a thinner sole design on the T head and a lie angle change helped to improve strike consistency, land angle and overall carry distance to assist the client to feel like he can play a shorter iron than before as well as controlling his ball more on the green.

This goes to show that not always is a bigger footprint going to be more forgiving or go further.
