To achieve this Luke would need a 3 wood that produced higher launch, higher spin and a steeper land angle.
Luke was fitted into a Ping G410 3 wood with a Fujikura Atmos Tour Spec Black shaft.
With an appropriate head and shaft combination, Luke increased his launch angle and spin rate to an optimal level whilst also increasing his land angle by 25%.
With this improved ball flight, Luke's carry distance variation decreased by over 30% while he also gained an average of 13 meters in carry distance.
Luke says he now has the confidence to hit his new 3 wood off the tee and into the green.
